Sifu Kleber Battaglia is a teacher of Practical Wing Chun in Shanghai, China. He is also a collumnist for Wing Chun Illustrated Magazine and a Wing Chun historian.

I’ve known Sifu Kleber for several years, but this was the first time we got a chance to sit down and chat and I am so happy we did.

I was surprised to learn that he had extensive martial arts training prior to Practical Wing Chun and that he instantly knew upon meeting Sifu Wan Kam Leung that this was the expression of Wing Chun that he wanted to learn.

The thing that intrigued me the most, in our conversation, was when he said that Kung Fu in China is slowly dieing out. He found evidence of that while conducting his research on Wing Chun’s history.

I personally enjoyed very much listening to his story and feeling his enthusiasm for martial arts.

Listen to the podcast here and if you’ve enjoyed it I’d appreciate it if you’d share it on social media:
