Sifu Dave Richardson started martial arts, like most of us, because he was bullied at school. He has trained in Wester Boxing, Muay Thai, but Wing Chun remains the closest to his heart.
He also worked in security for several years and he says that the best is always to try to talk your way out of a difficult situation. If that fails, than you should immediately use your Wing Chun skills at their full capacity.
I’ve enjoyed hearing about a few training methods that will allow your Wing Chun to come out for a self-defense situation and I feel inspired to include them in my school’s curriculum.
