Jim Roselando is a Wing Chun Illustrated Columnist and Noted Wing Chun Researcher and Historian, he is also the Founder/Instructor at Gulao Boxing Association, a Master at Sifu Mui’s Martial Art Association, MIT Qigong Club, Harvard Qigong Club, and an Instructor at the Brazilian Martial Art Center Boston.

I got a chance to ask Jim, from a historical point of view, about the accuracy of the story/lengend of Wing Chun being created by a woman. His answer brought new perspective to my understanding of Wing Chun.

I enjoyed spending time and talking to Jim very much, learning about the specifities of Pin San Wing Chun, Dr. Leung Jan’s Wing Chun, and the benefits of training and punching with an elongated body.

The story, that I enjoyed most was hearing about how Jim hired a Private Detective to find the man who would become his Wing Chun Master.
