Have you ever felt that you had something to give to the world?

Have you ever felt that there was a voice inside of you that was dying to speak up but was smothered by fear and frustration?

Have you ever felt that if you could only have a bit more self-confidence your life would be much, much better?

Hi! My name is Bogdan. I am an author, public speaker and the founder of the first ever Personal Development through Martial Arts school in the world. And I’m on a Mission to helping one million people unleash their power and heal themselves.

But my life wasn’t always like that.

I’m looking at this document right now, trying to figure out something smart to say. Something that will be deep, but at the same time inspiring.

Something relatable and simple that you can use to bring about positive change in your life and in the lives of your loved ones.

But, the truth is that all I can do is share.

Share what has worked for me and hopefully you will find it valuable on your journey towards creating your best self, a self that your children and grandchildren will be honored to have met.

Like I mentioned, my life was very different just a few years ago.

‘You care too much about what others think about you’

‘Oh man! I don’t want to wake up and go to work!’

‘My life is meaningless!’

These are just a few of the things that I used to say to myself.

That was before I discovered how to use Personal Development together with Martial Arts training.

I remember it like it was yesterday.

I felt Angry.

Angry with everyone else, angry with life and angry with myself.

I was so afraid to be alone with myself and especially to be abandoned.

I would prefer to be the first one to end a relationship just so that I wouldn’t have to go through the thought of someone rejecting me.

I had no courage. I was terrified of failing and most of the times I wouldn’t even try and I would inevitably feel guilty for not even taking the first step.

I would become frustrated and would usually lash out at the people who cared most about me.

I hated my job and I would day dream of my days off and couldn’t wait to finish my work so I could finally go home.

I had no discipline, despite the fact that I knew how important it is to achieve anything in life.

I had no certainty regarding my life and didn’t know what to do about it.

I had no energy and would always press the ‘snooze’ button in the mornings, which led to being inevitably late or work.

My typical day felt like running on a hamster wheel. I was working all the time, but making no progress.

I would eat whenever I could and my health and wellbeing suffered because of it.

I desperately wanted to be in a relationship and I wanted to have friends in my life. People who would honestly care about me and accept me for who I truly was.

All of this changed deeply and meaningfully when I started doing things differently.

When I started to really apply what I learned in years of studying personal development and martial arts.

Today my life is very different.

I absolutely love what I do and I learned to love myself for who I am.

I feel full of life and energy and I am making progress every day towards achieving my mission.

People come to me asking to spend time together and they frequently ask me how is it possible that I have so much balance in my life.

Now, here’s what I did to change and what you can do to make your life something Great!

Something that your grandchildren will want to read about and share with the next generations.

Something that will give you the certainty that your life on this earth was not meaningless, that you sung your song and expressed your highest love for who you are.

Something that will give you peace and will allow you to love wholeheartedly.

It’s a BIG promise, I know.

But the people who know me, also know that I never make promises I can’t keep.

Here’s what you can do:

Meditation and Belly Breathing

This is by far the biggest contribution towards knowing yourself, loving yourself and being at peace with yourself.

Now, you might be thinking: ‘Great! Thanks for the advice but I don’t know how to meditate! I can’t empty my mind and sit there, I have things to do! Plus, there’s no time in my life for that’.

I completely agree!

In fact, that’s exactly what I used to say to myself.

But I started out small.

I started with 5-10 min of meditation a day.

Having a community helps to keep you accountable.

I started a Facebook group where every day at 12 midday I would do a live meditation session.

This greatly increases the chances of you following through with your goal of meditating.

Now, ask yourself! Who could you get onboard in your meditation journey? Who could you help discover meditation? What community could you start or join that will inspire you to integrate it in your life?

Journal

My Journal is full of pain and frustrations!

Crazy statement from a guy that said his life is so balanced, right?

Have you ever had that situation where you ask yourself a question and then, out of nowhere, you get the answer?

That’s how Journaling works!

In fact, YOU HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS YOU NEED!

You just haven’t asked the questions, yet.

Here’s what I mean…

Write down this question: ‘What is the one thing that is holding me back from achieving/becoming/doing … (fill in the blanks)?’

And write down the first answer that comes to mind.

Don’t just say it in your head! You need to write down the question first!

It allows you to take a step back, so that you see the bigger picture and give a better answer.

Try it and tell me how it went in the comment section!

Express yourself honestly

Replace ‘You make me feel’ with ‘I feel’.

Try this!

Instead of saying ‘You piss me off!’, try: ‘I feel really angry right now’, instead.

What’s the difference?

Well in the first case you give the responsibility of your wellbeing to the person in front of you. They can choose to continue to aggravate you or not.

While in the second case, you are acknowledging that it is you who is feeling that, because of the meaning that you give things.

But, because of the fact that you said ‘I am feeling’, you are allowing the person in front of you to express what they are feeling.

Maybe it was a misunderstanding and they didn’t mean to aggravate you.

In the second case they get a chance to clear things up and express themselves. While in the first case they can not.

Switching form ‘You are doing this and that to me’ to ‘I am feeling this way’ allows you to express yourself honestly every single moment.

The result?

People will connect with you and your message at a much deeper level.

People get a chance to learn who you are and choose you for who you really are.

Love and Accept yourself for who you are

This is a BIG one!

Do this!

Go in front of a mirror, look yourself in the eyes and say this to yourself: ‘(Your name) I love and accept you just the way you are!’

For most people this is incredibly difficult to do.

Because most of us were thought that there’s always going to be something inherently wrong with us that we need to fix.

Now, this does not mean that you won’t make progress anymore.

Quite the opposite!

This will allow you to have more fun while making progress and walking on your journey of self-development.

Try it! And let me know how you’ve felt after doing it.

Tip: Be really honest! Like you were saying it to your child or parent.

Take your body with you

A huge component in self-confidence is how you use your body!

Sitting up straight and abdominal breathing will instantly change your self-confidence and self worth.

Take a moment to notice your body, your thoughts and your state.

Just sit there and observe.

Now sit up straight and breathe from your belly as we described in point No. 1!

Notice what’s changing in your state, in your body and in your thoughts.

Notice how you see the world now and how the world sees you.

What I’ve found that gives much better body awareness, so you don’t only have Self-Confidence, but you exude it, you become it, and I’m not talking about arrogance, but raw, vulnerable, confidence, is training martial arts.

You need to be aware here that some schools teach aggression which is not the same as self-confidence.

In other words, by doing self-confidence with your body, with the help of martial arts, your career, your relationships with others and yourself, your health will all change for the better.
